At SuFu Creative, there’s a lot of fun events for all ages, especially on the weekends! I recently checked out their Upcycled Junk Journal workshop and had a great time making a series of collages with both their collection of materials and the things I brought from home to either donate/share or use for my own junk journal.
The way people make upcycled junk journals is by gluing new layers of paper to the pages of a book they want to recycle. Sometimes, pages need to be removed to make space for the heavier collages. Very often, pieces used in the collage have some kind of personal or sentimental value attached to them.

I have a lot of tiny photos of myself from all the times I’ve tested the Complete Weddings and Events photobooth at various gigs! I also sometimes will take photos with the event guests and/or my co-workers.

I couldn’t resist giving myself googly eyes on this page!
It took a while to put together each page, so this will be an ongoing project. Fortunately, SuFu Creative has open studio time when I can go hand out with other artists while I develop this idea more!
