Say “hello” to my new baby, Scarlet!
Scarlet is a playful two-year-old cuddle bug that I adopted from my friend’s farm.
Scarlet loves to watch “Cat TV”– aka the window to my patio.
One time, I tried to mix things up by playing the “Cat TV” Youtube channel on TV, but Scarlet couldn’t handle it! She got so overwhelmed with excitement when she saw the squirrel cracking open nuts on TV that she leapt onto the TV cart and started pawing at the TV. To prevent this from causing damage, I turned it off. For about 30 minutes after that, Scarlet was standing on her hind legs like this hoping for the squirrel to come back.
Sometimes Scarlet likes to take a Disco nap on these sequin pillows. FABULOUS!
I bought Scarlet a cat house insert for an Ikea Kallax shelf, but she prefers the box it came in.
Scarlet’s favorite toy is what I refer to as her “wormy wormy worm.” She can practice her hunting skills by chasing this around my apartment!
Scarlet somehow knows how to navigate an apartment full of antique furniture without wrecking things– she gets all the chaotic energy out on her scratching posts and toys, and climbs into this 200-year-old bed when she’s ready to crash.
